Project Manager – Development Projects (Australia)

Location: Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast
Salary: AUD 220,000 – 260,000 + Super (Negotiable)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Development Projects to manage the delivery of high-rise and large-scale residential developments across Australia. The role covers projects from development approvals (DA & CC) through construction to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Australian standards.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on major, landmark residential developments with a strong long-term project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Class 1 and Class 2 residential projects from development stage through to handover
  • Manage DA, CC, and statutory approval processes
  • Oversee builders, subcontractors, consultants, certifiers, surveyors, and authorities
  • Control project budget, schedule, quality, risk, and compliance
  • Administer head contracts and subcontracts in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Monitor construction progress and resolve site, design, and delivery issues
  • Ensure compliance with NCC, SEPP, BASIX, Green Star, WHS, and SafeWork NSW requirements
  • Coordinate inspections and approvals with relevant authorities
  • Monitor EHS performance and conduct regular site audits
  • Prepare and present progress and status reports to management
  • Support delivery of high-rise apartment and house & land developments

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in Australian residential construction or property development
  • Strong experience in development-stage projects (DA, CC, approvals)
  • Background in high-rise and/or multi-storey residential developments preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and compliance
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • White Card (mandatory)
