Project Engineer – ITS Infrastructure

Location: Dubai, UAE

Sector: Intelligent Transport Systems / Civil & Communication Infrastructure

Role Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of a major infrastructure project: "Development and Expansion of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) Coverage for Dubai – Phase 2, Package 2C." This role focuses on the Local Infrastructure Works, including the deployment of a fiber optic communication backbone, installation of hub cabinets, and the associated civil and electrical works required to integrate field systems into the Traffic Management Centers (TMC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Oversee and synchronize civil, electrical, and communication works to ensure full alignment with project specifications and engineering drawings.

  • Infrastructure Monitoring: Track the progress of Fiber Optic (FO) installation, ducting, trenching, manhole construction, and outstation cabinet placement.

  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to maintain project timelines.

  • Permit Management: Assist in obtaining essential No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and final approvals from Dubai authorities (e.g., RTA, DEWA).

  • Commissioning Support: Actively support the testing, commissioning, and integration of the local network into the existing ITS backbone.

  • Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation to ensure contract compliance and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering.

  • Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), large-scale infrastructure, or communication network projects.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong background in coordinating multi-disciplinary works (Civil, Electrical, and Communication).

  • Communication: Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, and Speaking).

  • Mobility: A valid UAE Driving License is mandatory for site-to-site coordination across Dubai.
