Quantity Surveyor – Joinery & Interior Fit-Out

Location: Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong expertise in Joinery and Interior Fit-Out projects. The candidate will be responsible for estimation, quantity take-offs, cost control, commercial documentation, variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for joinery and interior fit-out works.
Review tender drawings, specifications, scope of work, and identify discrepancies.
Prepare material, labour, fabrication, and installation cost estimates.
Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
Coordinate with design, procurement, factory, and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and manage variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.
Verify subcontractor invoices and completed works against BOQs and site progress.
Maintain updated UAE market rates for materials, labour, joinery, and fit-out works.
Support procurement and project teams with commercial and cost-related information.
Conduct site visits and verify measurements and quantities when required.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Minimum 5 years of UAE experience is required.
Minimum 3 years of Joinery / Interior Fit-Out experience is required.
Strong and proven experience in Joinery & Interior Fit-Out projects is mandatory.
Excellent knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware, fabrication, and installation.
Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers, subcontractors, and market pricing.
Good negotiation, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Immediate availability is highly preferred.
