Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong construction background and expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of UAE experience in construction planning and scheduling and should be capable of developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to support timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programs, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activities, logic, and project milestones.
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance against approved baselines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Identify project delays and assess their impact on the overall project schedule.
• Recommend corrective and mitigation actions to recover project delays.
• Perform critical path analysis and monitor critical and near-critical activities.
• Support resource planning, resource loading, and progress measurement.
• Provide planning support during tender and project execution stages.
• Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) schedules and delay analysis when required.
• Ensure project schedules comply with contractual and client scheduling requirements.
• Maintain accurate schedule updates, progress records, and planning documentation.
• Provide management with clear schedule forecasts and potential delay warnings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of UAE experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
• Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, Critical Path Method (CPM), resource loading, baseline management, and progress monitoring.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project milestones, and schedule control.
• Experience with Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project and site teams.
