MEP Estimation Engineer – Mechanical | Dubai

Job Overview

We are hiring an MEP Estimation Engineer – Mechanical in Dubai to handle estimation and tendering activities for building projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, costing, and rate analysis, along with experience evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate MEP mechanical estimates for building projects.
• Review and analyze BOQs, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
• Prepare project cost estimates, rate analysis, and pricing.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
• Develop competitive and accurate tender pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, engineering, procurement, and project teams.
• Verify quantities, material specifications, labor requirements, and associated costs.
• Use AutoCAD to review and understand drawings and layouts.
• Maintain estimation records, costing sheets, and tender documentation.
• Utilize MS Excel and MRP/ERP systems for estimation and costing activities.
• Apply UAE/local market rates and supplier pricing where applicable.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Mechanical/MEP Estimation, preferably for building projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Fire Fighting
  • Mechanical MEP systems
• Proven experience in BOQ, quantity take-off, costing, and rate analysis.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Experience evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• UAE experience and knowledge of local market rates preferred.
• Strong analytical, commercial, coordination, and communication skills.
