Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Site Engineer to supervise electrical installation and site execution activities for building and MEP projects in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with LV electrical systems, building services, site coordination, inspections, testing and commissioning, preferably within an MEP or electrical contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installation and site execution according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate daily electrical activities with Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other MEP disciplines.
- Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
- Supervise installation of:
- LV systems
- MDBs, SMDBs, and DBs
- Cable trays and containment
- Lighting systems
- Small power systems
- Monitor cable laying, termination, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable UAE standards.
- Coordinate MIRs, WIRs, ITPs, inspections, testing, and commissioning with consultants and clients.
- Prepare material requirements, work schedules, progress updates, and site reports.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other trades to prevent clashes and delays.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, technicians, and site manpower.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Identify technical issues, site constraints, and variations and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and as-built documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 7–12+ years of electrical site execution experience.
- Strong experience in MEP/building construction projects.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Contractor-side experience, particularly with an MEP or electrical contractor, is highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of LV electrical systems and building services.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other MEP disciplines.
- Good understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong site coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
