About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven, delivery-focused Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Project Manager to lead full-lifecycle, complex infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will champion the integration of critical ITS systems (including traffic management, tunnels, CCTV, and fiber optics networks), driving execution from initiation through to final site closure.

An ideal candidate brings robust hands-on experience navigating local government stakeholder ecosystems—specifically with the Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) / Abu Dhabi Mobility frameworks—and exhibits strong commercial acumen during both execution and secondary tendering support.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Delivery: Lead the complete project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure), ensuring milestones are met on time, within scope, and aligned with financial budgets.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government representatives, and consortium partners to manage relationships and ensure project alignment.

  • System Integration Oversight: Supervise the development and execution of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) plans, integration setups, and critical document reviews like Interface Design Documents (IDD).

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize workflows between engineering, procurement, subcontractors, vendors, and operations teams to optimize resource availability.

  • Financial & Scope Control: Monitor project financials, forecast costs, process timely invoicing, and systematically manage variation orders to prevent scope creep.

  • Tendering Support: Provide secondary support to business development through precise costing inputs, technical documentation, and tender submissions for new infrastructure bids.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of dedicated project management experience within ITS, traffic tech, civil infrastructure, or closely related domains.

  • Local Expertise: Prior proven experience delivering projects under the Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) guidelines is highly advantageous.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong command of system integration, telecommunications (fiber optics), field devices (CCTV, traffic controllers), and SDLC frameworks.

  • Documentation Skills: Proficient with interface management tools and creation/review of Interface Design Documents (IDD).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Computer Engineering, or a strictly related engineering field.

  • Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Superior multi-stakeholder coordination, strategic leadership, and assertive communication skills.
