Senior Estimation Engineer – EPC Construction Company

We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Estimation Engineer for a leading EPC Construction Company in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in construction estimation, tendering, cost estimation, bid management, and EPC project pricing.

The successful candidate must have strong experience in preparing and submitting large-scale construction tenders as a Main Contractor and should currently be working in a Tendering or Estimation Department at Head Office level.

Senior Estimation Engineer Job Responsibilities

Tendering and Estimation

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC, infrastructure, civil construction, and contracting projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare technical and commercial bid submissions.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and detailed project cost analysis.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies for construction tenders.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting

• Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns including material, equipment, labor, productivity, and man-hour calculations.
• Calculate direct and indirect project costs accurately.
• Prepare tender top sheets and final pricing summaries.
• Analyze project risks and commercial implications during bid preparation.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to obtain accurate pricing inputs.

Bid Management

• Lead the complete tendering process from tender invitation to final submission.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and project specifications.
• Maintain estimation databases and historical cost records.
• Support management during bid reviews and tender presentations.

Senior Estimation Engineer Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience

• 10 to 17 years of experience in construction estimation and tendering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Senior Estimation Engineer position.
• Must have experience working with EPC Contractors and Construction Contracting Companies.
• Consultancy experience will not be considered.
• Must have previous working experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Must currently be working in the Tendering/Estimation Department at Head Office.

Mandatory Technical Requirements

• Must have submitted main tenders as a Main Contractor.
• Must have experience submitting tenders with a minimum value of SAR 100 Million as a Main Contractor.
• Must be proficient in cost breakdown preparation.
• Must have strong productivity analysis and man-hour calculation experience.
• Must be able to calculate indirect costs, overheads, and project contingencies.
• Must be familiar with tender top sheets and estimation summary sheets.
• Strong understanding of construction costing, project estimation, and tender pricing.

Language Skills

• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
