Senior Quality Engineer – Mechanical | Dubai
Job Overview
We are hiring a Senior Quality Engineer – Mechanical in Dubai to manage and monitor QA/QC activities for mechanical MEP works across construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting systems, along with solid knowledge of MEP quality documentation, inspections, testing, and consultant/client approvals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor QA/QC activities for mechanical MEP works.
- Conduct inspections of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installations.
- Review and implement ITPs, Method Statements, Material Submittals, and Quality Procedures.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate MIRs, WIRs/IRs, and inspection documentation.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
- Identify quality issues and manage NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Conduct material receiving inspections and verify the use of approved materials.
- Monitor quality requirements during testing & commissioning, pressure testing, flushing, and system inspections.
- Conduct internal quality audits and site quality inspections.
- Manage snagging, de-snagging, and final handover inspections.
- Maintain complete QA/QC records and support preparation of handover dossiers.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–12+ years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably in UAE/GCC.
- Strong experience with an MEP contractor or construction company.
- Proven QA/QC experience in:
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Drainage
- Firefighting systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- ITPs
- Method Statements
- MIRs
- WIRs/IRs
- NCRs
- Corrective & Preventive Actions
- QA/QC documentation
- Good knowledge of applicable MEP codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Experience coordinating directly with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals.
- Strong communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
