Position Overview

Site Engineer Jobs Dubai: We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Site Supervisor to oversee specialist floor coating and waterproofing projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in epoxy, polyurethane (PU), polyaspartic, acrylic, cementitious, and industrial flooring systems.

The role will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating surface preparation, monitoring coating applications, conducting quality inspections, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise floor coating and waterproofing works at project sites.
• Inspect concrete substrates and assess moisture content, compressive strength, surface condition, and suitability before application.
• Plan and monitor surface preparation activities including:
  • Grinding
  • Shot blasting
  • Scarifying
  • Acid etching
• Oversee crack repairs, epoxy injection, patch repairs, and substrate remediation works.
• Supervise the correct application of:
  • Primers
  • Self-leveling systems
  • Epoxy flooring
  • PU flooring
  • Polyaspartic coatings
  • Quartz flooring
  • Flake flooring
  • High-build coating systems
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with approved method statements, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections including dry film thickness (DFT), adhesion pull-off testing, slip resistance testing, and final finishing inspections.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Prepare daily progress reports, material requests, work schedules, and site documentation.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and daily site productivity.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO, SSPC, and manufacturer specifications.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions with project management and technical teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of UAE/GCC experience in industrial floor coating and waterproofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Epoxy flooring
  • Polyurethane (PU) flooring
  • Polyaspartic flooring
  • Acrylic flooring
  • Cementitious flooring
  • Waterproofing systems
• Hands-on experience with surface preparation equipment including:
  • Shot blasters
  • Diamond grinders
  • Scarifiers
  • Industrial mixers
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Knowledge of concrete substrate preparation and coating application procedures.
• Understanding of quality testing including DFT and adhesion pull-off testing.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and communication skills.
• UAE Driving Licence is preferred.

Technical Expertise

Candidates with experience in industrial flooring, commercial flooring, floor coating, concrete surface preparation, waterproofing, epoxy systems, PU systems, polyaspartic coatings, and specialist coating applications will be highly considered.
