System Integration Manager – Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Role Summary

We are seeking a senior System Integration Manager to oversee the complex integration of communication networks and local infrastructure for the "Expansion of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) for Dubai – Phase 2, Package 2C." This critical role involves managing the end-to-end connectivity of a fiber optic backbone and integrating field infrastructure with centralized systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across multiple project packages (2A, 2B, and 2D).

Key Responsibilities

  • System Orchestration: Manage the high-level integration of the fiber optic communication network with existing ITS infrastructure and Traffic Management Centers (TMCs).

  • Inter-Package Coordination: Act as the primary technical lead for cross-package integration, coordinating with contractors from Package 2A (Traffic Monitoring), Package 2B (Dynamic Message Signs), and Package 2D (iTraffic – Advanced Traffic Management System).

  • Network Architecture: Oversee configuration requirements for network equipment and interfaces; support the development of Low-Level Design (LLD) for network expansion.

  • Compatibility Management: Ensure total compatibility between new deployments and legacy systems, working closely with existing maintenance contractors to prevent service disruption.

  • Validation & Commissioning: Lead end-to-end testing, commissioning, and system validation from field-level devices up to the central TMC software platforms.

  • Technical Documentation: Support the preparation of complex system configuration and integration documentation to ensure contract compliance.

Requirements

  • Seniority: Minimum 15 years of demonstrated experience in system integration and communication networks.

  • Expertise: Proven track record in multi-system coordination, including large-scale testing and commissioning of integrated infrastructure.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.

  • Preferred Certifications:

    • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).

    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

  • Communication: Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking).

  • Mobility: A valid UAE Driving License is mandatory for cross-site management and authority meetings.
